Fluclox is an Anti- Staphylococcal Penicillin. Also known as Penicillinase ressistant penicillins, কারণ এইটা penicillinase resistant.
Available Anti-Staphyloccal Drugs:

Di Dicloxacillin
M Methicillin
O Oxacillin
N Nafcillin
D Dicloxacillin
এগুলার একটাও এখন used হয়না। এখন ব্যবহৃত হয় Flucloxacillin.
- Commonly used in skin and soft tissue infection.
- Should be taken without food
- Usual dosage 4 times daily
- Safe in pregnancy and lactation
Indications:
Susceptible gram positive infections.
Covers MSSA only.
Doesn’t cover MRSA.
Antibiotics providing anti-staphylococcal coverage:
• Tigecycline
• Vancomycin
• Linezolid
• Flucloxacillin
Regarding Surface Infection:
1. Adequate drainage
2. Correct Hb, Albumin, and Blood Sugar.
If only Hb is low- Red cell concentrate.
Only Albumin is low – Fresh frozen plasma
Both Hb and Albumin – Whole Blood.
3. Antibiotic ( Staphylococcal coverage + anti-anaerobic if foul smellimg discharge/putrefaction)
For anaerobic coverage:
• Clindamycin
• Metronidazole
